What is it to Oggle?
We say that “the Oggle is in the detail”. What does this mean? Zoom in close, see the universe in a grain of sand…We are looking for contributions from people who oggle and delight in the visual, the quirky…that see the unusual in the mundane, see patterns which other’s don’t notice, are startled and sparked to reverie by our surrounding world. Oggleblog has a partner which is the eZine on www.oggleverything.com, together we are playing a game to raise £10,000 for charity by February 11th 2009. We will be having a launch event on January 26th for this off site blog and our on-line magazine. A little crazy, but more fruitful and interesting than curling up into a spiky ball and hibernating like a hedgehog over the winter months.
Double the impact of the money you give: The charities we are supporting are Plan International, (www.plan-international.org) which supports children in the developing world, and Kiva (www.kiva.org) which makes loans to entrepreneurs in the developing world - and by doing so empowers them to lift themselves out of poverty.
The money raised from our launch event on 26th January will be divided between Plan International and Kiva. The money to Kiva will be in the form of a loan, and once paid back the funds will go to Plan International, so every donation will be a double wammy, shifting the world towards abundance for all.
There are several ways you can participate in the game:
